The High Point Convention and Visitors Bureau (HPCVB) will kick off 2019 with its first Prime Time event of the year, Friday February 1, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Hobby enthusiasts will be on site and eager to share more information about their specific hobby. Participants include Con-Gregate and Star Trek, Revolutionary War Reenactors will feature spinning/weaving, 18th century backcountry life, cross stitching, knitting, beading, crewel, embroidery, 18th century clothing, 18th century household items, Wood Creations by Jerry and special guest, Gary Simon featuring deep sea treasures. Texas Roadhouse, a new restaurant located in North High Point, will be providing some light refreshments from their menu and Brown Truck beer will be provided. “We’ve had so many restaurants open in the last year, so this year we will be showcasing different ones during the First Friday Prime Time events,” says Kimberly Mozingo, HPCVB’s group services coordinator. The Regional Visitors Center is a great location to learn about High Point and the region.
