The future of High Point’s workforce depends upon the creation of jobs and learning opportunities within our city. Business High Point-Chamber of Commerce works in partnership with industry partners to empower our workforce to grow and stay here in High Point.
Guilford Apprenticeship Partners (GAP)
Businesses in many sectors employ an aging workforce and struggle to locate the next generation of skilled talent. Providing opportunities for rising high school seniors and recent graduates to further their education and obtain paid work experience, GAP not only gives students an opportunity to receive free college, a paycheck and a full-time position post graduation – this partnership helps our Members identify future employees and leaders and grow their workforce.
Triad Workforce Solutions Collaborative
Triad Workforce Solutions Collaborative (TWSC) is a regional initiative led by Business High Point – Chamber of Commerce and the Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro. TWSC advances talent development initiatives across the Triad by aligning partners, resources, and strategies to strengthen the workforce ecosystem.
TWSC is one of 29 regional partners of Shift Work Forward (formerly the National Fund for Workforce Solutions), a nationally powered, locally driven network working to reshape systems of work and opportunity.
In 2025, TWSC was one of five national sites—alongside Baltimore, Hawaii, Indianapolis, and Des Moines—awarded a JPMorgan Chase grant through Shift Work Forward to advance workforce equity in clean energy and infrastructure. This investment has accelerated TWSC’s efforts to bring together key stakeholders and launch targeted programs that expand awareness, access, and career success for women and people of color in manufacturing across the Triad.
