Leadership High Point Applications Now Open for Upcoming Program Year
Prospective participants are invited to attend The Connect, an inside look at Leadership High Point, on April 28.
High Point, NC — Business High Point – Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that applications for Leadership High Point (LHP) are officially open for the 2026-2027 cohort. The program offers a unique opportunity for professionals to gain a deeper understanding of High Point, how it operates, and the people and partnerships that continue to move the city forward. Those interested in applying are encouraged to attend The Connect on April 28, an engaging information session designed to offer a candid, behind-the-scenes look at the program.
Leadership High Point is not a traditional leadership development program. Instead, it is an immersive experience that connects participants to the inner workings of the city. Through a series of class days, participants explore key sectors, engage with community leaders, and gain real insight into both the opportunities and challenges shaping High Point. As a flagship program of Business High Point, it brings together emerging and established leaders from across industries and reflects the organization’s commitment to building a more informed, connected, and engaged community.
Participants leave Leadership High Point with a stronger sense of place and a clearer understanding of how they can contribute to the city’s continued growth. A key component of the program is the class project, where each cohort collaborates on an initiative that directly benefits the community. Past projects have included the Story Walk at the High Point Public Library and Oasis at The Arc of High Point, demonstrating the program’s commitment to creating tangible, lasting impact. In addition to these projects, participants build meaningful relationships across industries and become part of a network that is invested in High Point’s future. The Connect offers prospective applicants a unique opportunity to step inside the Leadership High Point experience before applying, with candid conversation and real insight from those who know it best.
“Leadership High Point gives participants a real, behind-the-scenes look at how the city operates, from its key industries to the leaders and businesses shaping its future. It’s not just about understanding the bigger picture; it’s about building meaningful connections across High Point’s business and nonprofit community and civic landscape. The more you understand how everything is interconnected, the more engaged and impactful you can be,” said Quineece Huntley, Director of Professional Education and Leadership at Business High Point – Chamber of Commerce.
