• High Point Rising!

Discover all the ways High Point is on the rise through the efforts of Business High Point - Chamber of Commerce.

The number “100” figured prominently in a community celebration Wednesday. High Point Chamber of Commerce supporters and fans of the new baseball team — the High Point Rockers — gathered to mark two occasions involving the number. This year marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the High Point Chamber of Commerce, which has evolved into Business High Point.

Reneece Huntley, Administrative Assistant to High Point Police Chief Ken Shultz, was honored with the 2018 Businesswoman of the Year award at the Business High Point-Chamber of Commerce annual Women’s Business Luncheon.

As part of a community-wide effort to revitalize downtown High Point, a global innovation and entrepreneurship center geared toward the furniture industry is expected to be partially open by the October furniture market. An initiative called HP365 operating under the Business High Point-Chamber of Commerce, the center will be housed in the 100,000-square-foot former Adams Millis hosiery mill.

When you step inside the headquarters of HP365, you might think you’re in a typical downtown showroom. But the new entrepreneurial center and co-working space is being designed to function unlike any other type of furnishings venture in High Point, or anywhere else for that matter.
